National Chiropractic Care Week 2010 - "What’s your posture saying about you?"

The theme of the upcoming National Chiropractic Care Week is Posture. Good posture is good health. It is never too late to improve your posture. The growing years however, are critical in the development of postural patterns that we carry for a lifetime. For this reason, we at Sexton Chiropractic place a very high importance on spinal health in children. An adjustment in a child can be worth fifty adjustments in an adult. Don’t leave your kids at home when you visit the chiropractor!

To promote the upcoming National Chiropractic Care Week (May 24th~30th), we at Sexton Chiropractic are offering existing clients the opportunity to refer family and friends for an initial chiropractic consultation at no charge during the month of May.

This special offer will include a thorough spinal health assessment, postural examination, computerized spinal scan and x-rays (if required).

People of all ages can improve their level of wellbeing through chiropractic care. A healthier spine means a healthier nervous system and a healthier individual.

Do you know someone who could benefit from the all natural effects of chiropractic care?

Appointments can be made at reception or by contacting us by phone on 9898 1282 (Surrey Hills) or 9347 3838 (Carlton).

New research shows chiropractic is very effective in managing and preventing hamstring strains in footballers

For the athletes among you, there was an interesting article published in the sport section of The Age on Sunday April 18th. The article highlighted research that showed chiropractic care was very effective in managing and more importantly, preventing hamstring problems in footballers. Although this has been known for a long time, it is good to see new research supporting what we see in practice often. The research showed that football clubs using chiropractic as part of their player management experienced far less hamstring injuries than those that did not. The same applies for other lower limb muscle strains that commonly affect athletes.

If you know someone who suffers the frustration of muscle strains, ask them if they have tried chiropractic.
